For years, many argued that Joe Montana was the greatest quarterback of all-time over Tom Brady because of his perfect 4-0 Super Bowl record. Eventually Brady’s claim as the G.O.A.T became undeniable because he has remained productive for a much longer period of time, even with an imperfect Super Bowl record.
In the NBA, the same argument is made when comparing MJ to LeBron. Jordan’s 6-0 Finals record is viewed as unassailable, but Colin thinks the case for LeBron will continue to gain strength because by the end of his career he will blow MJ away in nearly every comparable statistical category. Another title wouldn’t hurt either.
