It’s only the summer league, but it looks the Bulls could have the next Michigan State draft steal on their hands. Denzel Valentine, coming off an accomplished four year career with the Spartans, fell to the Bulls at the 15th pick. Like Draymond Green before him, Valentine was the Big 10 Player of the Year, but fell in the draft because NBA teams view four year college starters like rat poison.
With the Bulls trailing 77 – 74, Valentine hit a contested 30 foot three at the buzzer to send the Summer League Final against the Timberwolves to overtime.

In the extra period, he had the ball in his hands with the game tied at 82, and buried the turnaround jumper as time expired. Ballgame. Summer League.

It is just Summer League, but you have to like Valentine’s cold blooded disposition.
