Kevin Durant’s scary injury in last night’s game against the Wizards sent Dub Nation into a panic. After a night of restless sleep, and worrying about worst case scenarios, Warriors’ fans can breathe a relative sigh of relief.
Today, the team announced that Durant did not suffer a season ending knee injury, but did suffer a Grade 2 MCL sprain and tibial bone bruise. He’ll be out indefinitely, and will be re-evaluated in 4 weeks.

There’s absolutely no incentive for the Warriors to rush Durant back before the playoffs, and even if he’s out longer than 4 weeks, the prospect of him returning for a postseason run beats a torn ACL.
