The one-game Wild Card is Game 7 baseball playoff drama in a box. Regardless of whether traditionalists are in favor of the play-in-playoff game, the win-or-go-home atmosphere is baseball drama at it’s finest.
Last night, with the Blue Jays and Orioles Wild Card game at the Rogers Centre deadlocked at 2 -2 in the 11th inning, and fans firmly planted on the edge of their seats, Edwin Encarnacion stepped to the plate with two runners on.
He channeled Joe Carter from 1993, and launched a 3-run, game winning bomb to send the Blue Jays along to the Division Series to play the Texas Rangers. He threw in a killer bat-flip for good measure. Playoff walk-off home runs are the best walk-off home runs.

The Rangers and the Blue Jays will square off for the first time since Joey Bautista and Roughned Odor went all McGregor/Diaz the last time they played. It should be interesting. Game 1 is tomorrow.
