It may be early in the preseason, but Bill Belichick is already in mid season passive aggressive press conference form.
Today, instead of using non-verbal cues – like disgusted eye rolls or laser beam death stares – to communicate his loathing of the reporters who cover the Patriots as their profession, Belichick was so ticked he used his words.
When a reporter asked Belichick if Tom Brady would be named the Pats starting quarterback when he returned from his 4 game Deflategate suspension, a visibly annoyed Belichick mumbled, “Jesus Christ.”
Apparently, that’s a yes.
Can you believe the nerve of reporters asking an NFL head coach questions about his franchise quarterback at a press conference?
MMQB writer Albert Breer sent out a tweet to let everyone know he wasn’t the one who set Belichick off.
To answer everyone’s question, no, it wasn’t me. pic.twitter.com/KEG6rVtA9R
